4. De Besche, Gillis,

mecenat. Född 1624. Son till De B. 2.

Efter sin redan vid ankomsten till Sverige såsom mycket rik ansedde fader ärfde sonen Gillis De B. en stor förmögenhet, som han ytterligare ökade. Han ansågs på sin tid för Sveriges rikaste bruksägare och visade mycken frikostighet mot det allmänna. Naturaliserad svensk adelsman 1692 med bibehållande af sitt namn De Besche. Död 1709.

Gift 1: med Kristina Möller, 2: 1675 med Katarina Störning och 3: med Margareta Mollsdorff.
