Timber Yard.
The mill is run by electric power which is received from the Sikfors power-
station at the River Pite. In case of need half the production could be
dried. The number of employees are about 90. Brand:
Ytterstfors, situated at the river Byske, with 12 grinding machines. [-Production-] {+Pro-
duction+} about 30,000 tons (wet weight) mechanical wood pulp. The mill is run by
electric power, received partly from the Company’s own waterfall in the river Byske, partly
from the powerstation Finnforsen at the river Skellefte, which belongs to
the town of Skellefteå. A little more than half the production could be dried.
The mill employs about 190 men. Brand: * i
IRON WORKS.
Near the town of Luleå the Luleå Iron Work is situated, [-consisting-] {+con-
sisting+} of 2 blast-furnaces with a yearly capacity of 30,000 tons
pig-iron, poor in phosphorus. Brand:
FORESTS.
The company possesses a total area of about 1,050,000 sw. tunnlands (equal to
a little less than 2,000 engl. square miles) forests of which a smaller part is situated

in Finland. The timber is floated down the rivers Skellefte, Byske, Aby, Pite, Lule,
Råne, Tore, Kalix, Torne and Kemi.
