The child then cried :

thy chain is broken!
Oh father! Thou art free! What
blessed joy. . . .

What glorious bliss it was at last
to fly
Away from cloudy earth in liberty
And to approach the sun, whose
golden rays
Surrounded us with roseate bril-
liancy.
Divinely fair is the eternal dawn,
