Preface to the electronic edition

This is an English translation from 1904 of Sveriges land och folk (1901) by Gustav Sundbärg. It has been digitized in May 2008 at Harvard University by Google Books and adapted from the Internet Archive to Projekt Runeberg in October 2014 by Ralph E. An improved OCR text was added in January 2017. The table of contents was added in November 2021.

A second edition was published in 1914.

This volume was scanned elsewhere and made available by the Internet Archive, from where the scanned images were copied to Project Runeberg. We very much appreciate that they have made this possible and want to encourage other digital library projects to follow their example. Read more about Project Runeberg's image sources.
