Alopæus, Magnus Jakob,

biskop i Borgå stift i Finland. Född d. 16 dec. 1743 i Leppävirta socken i Savolax. 1769 docent i matematik i Åbo, idkade sedan teologiska studier, blef 1785 lektor i teologi och 1794 domprost i Borgå. Under landtdagen mars--juli 1809 i Borgå, i hvilkens viktiga förhandlingar A. lifligt deltog, utsågs A. till den ledigblifna biskopsplatsen i Borgå. A. utvecklade mycket och godt arbete därstädes. Död 1818.

Gift 1772 med Ulrika Jusléen.
