So they made up their minds
to strike, and not do any more
work. But they soon found
out that they had made a great
mistake. When the stomach
had no food to digest, the
whole body got out of order.
So the strikers had to
commence working again. They
then found out that the stomach
was not as lazy as they had
thought.

12. My Native Town.
I live in a town in the South
of Sweden (on the South Coast).
It is not a big town, it has
only 20,000 inhabitants.
It is situated on a large
plain; there are no woods
(forests) or mountains (hills)
in the neighbourhood.
In the centre of the town is
the market with a big hall
where provisions are bought.
The principal buildings, the
Church, the Town Hall, the
Post Office, the Telegraph
Office, and the Working Man’s
Club are also situated here.
We are all very proud of the
Church with its lofty spire, its
lovely stained-glass windows,
